ROOF SLOPE GUIDE
What ROOF SLOPE should I choose?
The slope of a roof (also called the pitch) is described by the ratio of its rise to its run over a run of 12 feet.
For example, a 4:12 roof will climb 4 feet vertically for every 12 horizontal feet. The higher the number, the steeper the roof.

Below is a guide to help you visualize the aesthetic differences between the most common garage roof pitches.
